Is Simulation Enough to Pass?
No. Simulation rehearses how you deliver what you know; it does not put the knowledge there in the first place, and it cannot promise the result. On its own it is one half of a preparation rather than the whole of one — the practice half, sitting on top of study it never replaces.

If you already understand how STP elects a root bridge and computes least-cost paths, the timed item earns its place: it rehearses reaching the answer quickly and under pressure. If you do not, no amount of sitting the item supplies that understanding — you can only learn that a particular option happened to be correct, which is memorizing a layout, exactly the thing the per-attempt shuffle exists to defeat. Simulation sharpens judgment you have already built; it does not build it. That building is the work of courseware, documentation, and time on real or virtual switches, well before the timed sitting.
What Simulation Is Genuinely Enough For
Set against that, simulation more than covers the job it actually owns. It is the one part of preparation that puts you under a real clock, answering each item once, in an order you have not met before, then shows you where pacing or judgment gives way while there is still time to mend it. No textbook or lab rehearses that.
